(a) Alcohol content (as borneol). Not less than 30 percent by weight.

(b) Esters (as bornyl acetate). Not less than 1.5 percent by weight.

(c) Refractive index at 20 °C. 1.4630 to 1.4680.

(d) Specific gravity at 25 °/25 °C. 0.893 to 0.909.

(e) Odor. Characteristic odor.
